BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Volleyball Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
West Liberty’s Dakoda Keni is the MEC Offensive Player of the Week, while Concord’s Allie Davis is the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.
Keni, a junior from Kahuku, Hawaii, led West Liberty to a pair of wins and the MEC North Division title. She played nine sets against Frostburg State and Wheeling, recording 96 assists, five kills, and 22 digs on the weekend. Keni ranks second in the MEC in assists per set this season.
Davis, a junior from Jonesborough, Tennessee, played seven sets against Davis & Elkins and Glenville State to close out the regular season. She recorded 42 digs across the two matches, including 26 against the Pioneers, her second-best single-game total this season. Davis ranks second in the MEC in digs per set this season.
