MEC Announces Regional Television Broadcasts for MEC Basketball Tournament Semifinals and Championship Games

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference will once again partner with West Virginia MetroNews to broadcast the 2024 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by The Health Plan, including regional television broadcasts for the semifinals and championship games.

The tournament will return to Wheeling’s WesBanco Arena from March 6-10.

“Our continued partnership with MetroNews has provided the Mountain East Conference membership an unprecedented level of media exposure over the league’s first 11 years,” said Commissioner Reid Amos. “For more than a decade we have showcased our conference and member institutions with numerous television opportunities. Increased exposure at our annual basketball championships has helped the league expand its reach, enhance opportunities with our corporate sponsorship, and bring the MEC championship experience into millions of homes. We look forward to another great week of MEC basketball at WesBanco Arena."

The men’s championship game broadcast will be live on SportsNet Pittsburgh beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. The women’s championship will air on tape delay, beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, following the men’s championship broadcast. Click here to check local listings.

During Saturday’s semifinal round, the Noon and 6 p.m. games are slated for live broadcasts on SportsNet Pittsburgh+. The 2:30 and 8:30 p.m. semifinal matchups will air live on SportsNet Pittsburgh.

In addition to the live television broadcasts, all 18 men’s and women’s tournament games will be available live on the Mountain East Conference Digital Network (MountainEast.TV).

The West Virginia MetroNews statewide radio network will also provide live audio coverage of Sunday’s championship games.
