BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference today released its All-Academic Team and Commissioner's Honor Roll for winter and spring sports during the 2022-23 academic year.

To be a member of the All-MEC Academic Team, the student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and have a grade-point average of 3.70-4.00 in the semester of their sports championship season. To qualify for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and post a grade-point average between 3.25-3.69 in the semester of their championship season.

The sports included in the winter and spring honors are: acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women’s swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, softball, women's lacrosse and men’s wrestling.

A league record 1,380 student-athletes were honored by the MEC for their work in the classroom and performance in competition, including 766 who earned All-MEC Academic Team honors (3.70 GPA or higher) in the sports included.
