BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The final week of the regular season begins on Thursday night with West Virginia Wesleyan on the road at Fairmont State. 

On Saturday, the MEC regular season title is on the line as Notre Dame takes West Virginia State. The Falcons can claim a second-straight MEC title with a win over the Yellow Jackets, while WVSU can earn a share of the title with a victory.   

Frostburg State also has a chance at a three-way split of the MEC title when it takes on Glenville State on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Bobcats can be co-champions with a win and a West Virginia State victory on Saturday. 

West Liberty will be looking for its first winning season since 2014 when it welcomes Charleston in its season finale. The Golden Eagles are in the midst of a three-game winning streak. Concord wraps up its season at home against Wheeling. In the final game of the day, Urbana welcomes No. 25 Truman State in non-conference play. The Bulldogs are 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the GLVC.

• In six seasons the Mountain East Conference has never had co-champions. This season will mark the first time that the conference champion has not finished the season undefeated in league play.
• Javon Butler (GSC), Dominic Cizauskas (GSC) and Colin Harvath (FAIR) have earned Mountain East Conference Player of the Week honors for their play in the tenth week of the season. (Complete Release)
• The third edition of the NCAA Super Region 1 rankings were released earlier this week with three teams from the Mountain East Conference represented. Notre Dame is third, West Virginia State sixth and Urbana iseighth.
• Notre Dame fell to No. 15 in the AFCA poll. Dating back to last season, Notre Dame has been ranked for 19-straight weeks. The Falcons are 16th in the D2Football.com poll. 
• Since the start of the 2018 season, 83 of the 184 games played by MEC teams have been decided by 10 points or less (45 percent). This season, 27 out of 59 games have been decided by 10 points or less. 
• The Mountain East Conference has a player in the top 10 in the country in rushing (McLaughlin), passing (Grisel, Hensley), receiving (Strachan), scoring (McLaughlin), field goals (Watts), tackles (Crouser) and passes defended (Hood). Four different schools make up the leaders in those categories.
• Speaking of points, thirty is usually enough to win a Mountain East Conference game. MEC teams are 40-9 this season when scoring 30 points or more in a game.
• Five MEC players have accounted for 26 games with 100+ yards rushing this season. Nine of those belong to Jaleel McLaughlin, who now has 21 for his career. Fairmont State has had four different players rush for over 100 yards in a game this season, and Urbana has had three.
