WHEELING, W.Va. -- Wheeling Jesuit claimed the 2013 Mountain East Conference Tournament championship with a straight-sets win over Fairmont State, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-14.

The Cardinals were led by MEC Player of the Year Jenna Pew who finished the match with 15 kills and no errors to go with seven total blocks. Haley Kindall and Emma Schleucher each added seven kills, and Andrea Thobe directed the offense with 35 assists. Pew, Schleucher and Thobe were named to the MEC All-Tournament team.

Fairmont State was led by 12 kills from Bri Swann. Amber Wilson contributed nine kills for the Falcons. Tabbie Bias had 31 assists. Swann and Bias each were named to the MEC All-Tournament team.

The NCAA Tournament field will be announced tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
