FAIRMONT, W. Va. - Charleston softball player Addison Mass has been named the 2025-26 Mountain East Conference Female Athlete of the Year, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Mass, the 2026 MEC Pitcher of the Year, posted a 1.31 ERA and a 24-3 record on the mound, striking out 233 over 187.1 innings while allowing just 35 earned runs.
The native of Ringwood, Illinois, was also selected as the 2026 D2CCA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year and earned both 2026 NFCA First Team and 2026 D2CCA Second Team All-American honors.
Mass helped lead the Golden Eagles to a share of the MEC South Division title and the No. 1 seed in the South for the MEC Softball Tournament. Charleston finished the season 42-14 overall, including a 24-6 mark in league play.
The MEC Female Athlete of the Year is selected by a vote of institutional administrators and the conference office.
