BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
Concord’s Malher Santi Possu is the MEC Offensive Player of the Week after a four-goal outburst across two games. Santi Possu, a native of Colombia, started the 2025 season with his second career hat trick in a 5-2 win against Chowan. Santi Possu scored once in the first half and twice in the second, and then added another goal — a game-winner — in Sunday’s win at Frostburg State.
University of Charleston goalkeeper Konstantinos Parisis is the MEC Defensive Player of the Week after a pair of clean sheets against nationally ranked competition. Parisis, a native of Greece, played every minute of a 0-0 draw against No. 7 Saginaw Valley State and a 2-0 win against No. 14 Tiffin. Overall, Parisis made four saves.
