BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Twelve Mountain East Conference football standouts earned Super Region 1 Football honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) on Thursday morning.
 
Four players earned first team honors, including the Charleston trio of running back Chavon Wright, defensive lineman Nick Evans and return specialist Tae Marrero. UNC Pembroke defensive lineman Jamae Blank also earned first team honors.
 
Also honored as a member of the second team were running back Joel Felder (West Virginia State), wide receiver Kris Copeland (Concord), offensive lineman Carson Heidecker (Notre Dame) and Donovan McCollister (Charleston), defensive lineman Cam Rice (West Liberty), linebacker Brocton Blair (Fairmont State), cornerback Aaron Davis (Wheeling) and punter Josh Hutley (Concord).
