BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The field and seedings have been set for the 2021 Mountain East Conference Women's Soccer Tournament.
The tournament features six teams with the top three from each division qualifying for the postseason. The division champions, Frostburg State in the North and Concord in the South, each earned first round byes.
Fairmont State earned the No. 2 seed in the North Division, and will play host to No. 3 Notre Dame in the first round on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. The winner of this match will move on to face Concord on Friday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m.
Charleston, winners of nine-straight, earned the No. 2 seed in the South Division and will play host to No. 3 seed West Virginia State on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. The Yellow Jackets, in just their second full season as a varsity program, are making their first postseason appearance. The winner of that match advances to take on Frostburg State at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
The championship will be played on Sunday, Nov. 14, with the venue to be determined at the conclusion of the semifinal matches.
