BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference has released its All-MEC Academic Teams and the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring of 2017 semester.

To be a member of the All-MEC Academic Team, the student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and have a grade-point average of 3.70-4.00 in the semester of their championship season. To qualify for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and post a grade point average between 3.25-3.69 in the semester of their championship season.

Sports included in the spring semester are: baseball, lacrosse, men's basketball, men's tennis, men's track and field, softball, women's basketball and women's track and field.   

Over 750 student-athletes were honored by the MEC, including 339 who earned All-MEC Academic Team honors in the eight sports included. The number of honorees increased by 10 percent compared to last year.
