DANIELS, W.Va. – Notre Dame College maintained a 21-shot lead after two rounds of play at the 2017 Mountain East Conference Women's Golf Tournament at Glade Springs Resort.
The Falcons shot 332 on the afternoon. West Virginia Wesleyan moved into second place with a round-low of 329 and sits 18 shots ahead of Wheeling Jesuit in third.
Concord’s Natalia Jornet remains at the top of the leaderboard. After carding a 75 in the opening round, Jornet shot 74 on Tuesday to maintain an 11-shot lead. Notre Dame’s Macie Hysell stands in second place (160) followed by Fairmont State’s Sydney Brill (162) in third. Alexandra Cardi of Notre Dame enters the final round in fourth place (164). Sandra Brink of West Virginia Wesleyan and Elsa Goodsen of Notre Dame are tied for fifth with a two-round total of 165.
The top six teams and top three individuals from non-advancing teams will compete in the final round of the MEC Women’s Golf Championship on Wednesday.
