BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- For the third-straight year, Wheeling Jesuit's Kasey Frazier has earned Women's Golf Player of the Year honors in the Mountain East Conference, while teammate Kenaida Mills is the league's Freshman of the Year and Charleston's Will Johnson is the league's Coach of the Year.
Frazier led WJU to its second MEC title in three seasons in the fall, and finished with a 74.86 scoring average in the league's seven sanctioned events. Joining Frazier and Mills on the first team were WJU's Bridget Lynn, Notre Dame's Michiko Smith and Christi Bilas and Urbana's Courtney Tierney.
The second team consists of six players from six different schools: Kaitlyn Bliss (WLU), Katie Casey (WVWC), Mackenzie Cluesman (UVa-Wise), Kelli Garrett (UC), Brianna Stokes (NDC) and Arleen Xayasone (CU).
The All-MEC teams, along with Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors, are determined by scoring average from seven rounds at select MEC events. The MEC Coach of the Year is determined by a vote of the league's coaches.
