Rams, Golden Eagles Atop Crowded Leaderboard

DANIELS, W.Va. -- Charleston and Shepherd are tied for the lead after two rounds at the 2016 Mountain East Conference Men's Golf Tournament, but hold just a narrow lead over the next three teams heading into the final round.

Shepherd and Charleston shot matching 303s on day two to tie atop the leaderboard at 602, but Wheeling Jesuit posted the best round of the tournament on day two shooting 297 to surge into a tie for third place with West Liberty at 605. First round leader UVa-Wise is just six shots back in fifth place with a score of 608.

Individually, WJU's Nolan Tish, Charleston's Viktor Pustwo and Shepherd's Joe Burkinshaw are tied for the lead at even par 144. Pustwo fired a 70 (-2) on day two, while Tish and Burkinshaw carded 71s. 

The final round concludes tomorrow at the Cobb Course at Glade Springs Resort.
