NDC Holds Slim Lead After First Round

DANIELS, W.Va. -- Defending champion Notre Dame College holds a slim two-stroke lead after the first day of action at the Mountain East Conference Tournament at the Cobb Course on Monday.

The Falcons shot a first round score of 335, ahead of WJU's total of 337. The University of Charleston is in third (348), followed by UVa-Wise (372), Urbana (384) and West Virginia Wesleyan (392).

After a sluggish start, Kasey Frazier shot one-under par 35 on the back nine to post a first round score of 76 to lead all players. NDC's Michiko Smith and Christi Bilas are in a tie for second after shooting 81. 

The second round of the 54-hole tournament continues tomorrow afternoon.
