Kindall Earns MEC Volleyball Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Wheeling Jesuit’s Haley Kindall has been named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week after leading the Cardinals to a 3-1 start this season, including a win over No. 7 win over Southwest Minnesota State.
 
Kindall, a sophomore from Westerville, Ohio, had 55 kills on the week and hit .258 to go with 11 digs and 13 total blocks. In a 3-2 win over Missouri S&T, she had 20 kills and hit .425 with four blocks and seven digs. In another five-set victory against the Mustangs, she had 13 kills and three blocks. She had eight kills against No. 1 Concordia, and finished her week with a 14 kills against Ashland.

Mackenzie Harrison (Fairmont State) led the Falcons to a 4-0 week with 44 kills, 19 digs and eight blocks … Sarah Jones (Concord) had 49 kills in a 2-2 week … Valerie Bour (Shepherd) was named the tournament MVP after leading the team to a 2-1 record at Pfeiffer … Mary Hendricks (Urbana) had 99 assists in three matches … Lindsay Shirilla (Notre Dame) had 36 kills in a weekend tournament at West Chester … Hayley Kirby (West Virginia State) had 58 kills and 50 digs as the Yellow Jackets went 2-2 over the weekend ... Hannah King (West Virginia Wesleyan) was the top performer for the Bobcats at IUP’s season-opening tournament.
