NASHPORT, Ohio – Concord extended its lead after the first day and will head into the final round of the Mountain East Conference Men’s Golf Championship with a 17-shot lead.
The Mountain Lions followed up their first round total of 313 with a 314 for a two-day total of 627. West Liberty currently stands in second with a score of 644, followed by Shepherd (650), Fairmont State (656). West Virginia Wesleyan and Charleston are tied for fifth with a score of 658, and Wheeling Jesuit (661), Urbana (664), Notre Dame (666), UVa-Wise (681), Glenville State (706) and West Virginia State (778) round out the field.
Concord’s Thomas Frazier vaulted into the individual lead after carding a 73 on day two for a two-day total of 148. Matt Iceton is one shot back at 149, and Wheeling Jesuit’s Eric Dargis is in third with a score of 151. First round leader Sam Berry is in fourth after shooting 79 for a two-day score of 152.
The final round will conclude tomorrow with the first tee time set for 7:50 a.m.
